"Queen of spades" cropped cardigan in Tunisian Crochet

THE MAKING OF A LOVELY CARDIGAN IN TUNISIAN CROCHET In the last little while, as you may have noticed, I have been working on an ambitious project: the creation of a Tunisian crochet garment, using a leaf motif (or "spades", as I preferred to call it) already seen in some wonderful knitting projects. First, I thought about replicating the spade pattern in Tunisian crochet, which was not difficult, as I have created similar patterns before - you can find them, for example, in these projects of mine: Leaf it On Shawl , Leaf it On Scarf , Leaf it On Cowl .  Leaf it On Scarf Next, I thought it best to make a garment that had a simple workmanship, i.e. worked flat, and not in the round, to avoid, at least initially, over-complicating the design. A cardigan, therefore, was the best choice. Next, I chose a yarn that I liked and opted for a fine multicoloured yarn. This was the result: "QUEEN OF SPADES" - THE CAL! I liked the finished garment very much, and so did you, whic...

Comfy and cosy Bobble Sweater

Easy Crochet Pattern: comfy and cosy Bobble Sweater

The perfect easy crochet pattern for your first clothing project! This is the “all time Bobble Sweater”: it is so comfy and cosy thanks to its loose, oversized fitting, lightweight but warm at the same time, it goes with jeans and everyday clothes, creating that perfect casual look, with trainers or high heels, as you prefer. But you can equally wear it in the office or at home! I currently use it instead of a jacket when the weather is cool outside and I go and pick up my daughter from school. The 3/4 sleeves are super comfortable, too: oversized, but not bulky, and still warm enough for the coldest winter days.

Try this project with a self-striping yarn cake in the shade of your liking! I used a mega yarn "muffin" in delicate nuances with shades turning from grey to pink to light-brown. This way, you can create 2 different looks and decide to wear the sweater with one or the other side on front, depending on your daily mood. :) Also, how do you like the bobble design? I just LOVE bobbles, I don't know why, I think they enhance every design, giving items a softer, "fluffier", cosier look, somehow.

This project is super easy and totally fulfilling, even for beginners! It is written in 3 sizes: S/M - L - XL (always remember it is meant to fit "oversized"), worked from bottom to top, in 2 identical pieces to be sewn together. You can find it here: Bobble Sweater PATTERN from Hookloopsarah on Etsy It is a written tutorial in English, with many pictures included explaining every stage of the project. Try it out and let me know how you liked it! Feedbacks (and critics) are more than welcome, they help me improve and do even better next time.
